Writers Boot Camp Productions To Launch
Spearheaded By Producer Paul Rosenberg & Writers Boot Camp Founder Jeffrey Gordon
(Los Angeles November 2006) Jeffrey Gordon, Writers Boot Camp Inc. founder, has partnered with Producer Paul Rosenberg to start Writers Boot Camp Productions (WBCP). WBCP is a venture designed to discover and develop feature film projects through the Writers Boot Camp alumni community in Los Angeles, New York and internationally. Among the creative pillars of WBCP is a specific development process unavailable in today’s industry climate due to the reduced investment toward development at both the studio and independent level of production.
WBCP’s principal producing partner, Paul Rosenberg, has worked with Scott Rudin, Ray Stark, Brian Grazer, and Harvey and Bob Weinstein. After successfully making the jump from executive to producer, Rosenberg was voted one of Variety’s “Top 10 Producers to Watch,” and went on to found Saratoga Entertainment where the critically-acclaimed feature film “Go” was produced.
The WBCP creative mandate is to produce both studio and independent feature film projects, focusing on material that is uniquely entertaining. "I’ve always enjoyed discovering talent and launching new writing careers. With the incredible brand and extensive community Jeff has built up over the years, I have no doubt we’ll be able to quickly put together a slate of commercial projects that will serve as a launching pad for the most gifted graduates of Writers Boot Camp,” says Paul Rosenberg.
Jeffrey Gordon’s passion for teaching and motivating talent has celebrity clients and studios seeking his skills to guarantee timely development of their writers’ projects. “Writers Boot Camp Productions is committed to the discovery of new talent, professional mentoring and establishing a continuous flow of new project ideas with the alumni community,” explains Gordon. “I’ve long wanted to start a production arm of the company; and with Paul’s vast experience and relationships we are now uniquely positioned to expand our core business.”
Over 8,000 aspiring screenwriters have graduated from Basic Training and the professional membership, Think Tank, since 1989. Writers Boot Camp film and television alumni include David Levien (Oceans 13, Runaway Jury, Rounders), Heather Hach-Hearne (Freaky Friday), Shawn Schepps (Drumline, Encino Man), Hadley Davis (Ice Princess, Spin City), Jeffrey Lieber (Lost, Tuck Everlasting), Cindy Chupack (Men in Trees, Sex in the City), Marti Noxon (Brothers & Sisters, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), as well as Hank Azaria, Anthony LaPaglia, Bryce Dallas Howard, and more.

division from the coursework, membership services, and consulting support provided by the company, will operate out of Writers Boot Camp's Headquarters at Bergamot Station Arts Colony in Santa Monica, California.
